Krasnov discussed with the entrepreneurs of Transbaikalia the problems of interference in their work

Russian Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov met with representatives of the regional business community on Friday, June 6, during a visit to Chita. He noted the growth of business support in Transbaikalia, but stressed the problems with unemployment and investment, calling for the rapid removal of barriers and the establishment of clear boundaries of checks for the development of entrepreneurship.

Krasnov highlighted that the government of the Trans-Baikal Territory is implementing various business support measures that have a positive impact on industrial production and the volume of the gross regional product. At the same time, the Prosecutor General stated that the results of 2024 also showed negative trends — an increase in unemployment, a reduction in agricultural production, a slowdown in construction activity and a decrease in investments in fixed assets.

"Meetings with entrepreneurs allow us, as they say, to find out firsthand what issues the business community is concerned about and promptly respond to existing problems. Often, the removal of administrative barriers and other violations can be started essentially "off the wheels," Krasnov emphasized.

As an example, he cited the simplification of settlements with public customers, increased access to loans, subsidies and grants, as well as easier connection to energy networks and other infrastructure.

"Of course, a longer time period is necessary to solve problems that require significant budget funding and legislative changes, but we also have such positive experience," the Prosecutor General said and invited those present to a constructive and frank conversation.

On the same day, Krasnov held a personal reception for residents of the Trans-Baikal Territory, in particular, issues of support for the families of participants in the special operation were raised.
