Priority projects for the development of electric grids in the Southern Urals have been named

Financing of the ROSSETI Group's investment program in the Chelyabinsk Region in 2025 is planned to be provided in the amount of 5 billion rubles, the head of the company, Andrey Ryumin, said at a working meeting with the governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, Alexei Texler, in Moscow.

The parties discussed the prospects for the development of the region's grid complex.

According to Ryumin, ROSSETI has been actively addressing the reliability of power supply in Chelyabinsk and its suburbs over the past few years. For this purpose, the grid management system was seriously upgraded and new facilities were put into operation.

Among the priority projects for the development of electric grids in the Chelyabinsk region, he named the power supply of the Chelyabinsk Metro Tramway and the world-class interuniversity campus. It is also planned to modernize the 500 kV Kozyrevo main substation, which will use energy-efficient solutions, and reconstruct the 110 kV Esaulka power supply center.

"Together with the ROSSETI Group, we consistently solve the problem of ensuring reliable and high-quality electricity supply in the region, which means improving people's quality of life. We are expanding substations, modernizing the grid facilities, and much more. ROSSETI is our strategic partner. Today we discussed the further implementation of development plans. We are continuing our work, and the signing of the agreement will strengthen it," Alexey Texler emphasized.

The meeting discussed the possibility of concluding a regulatory agreement defining the key principles of cooperation for the period up to 2030. If signed, it will be possible to implement additional measures to improve the reliability of electricity supply in Chelyabinsk, Kopeysk and other cities and towns, and expand existing power centers to connect new consumers to the grid, the Rosseti press service explained.
