The escalating conflict between American billionaire Elon Musk and US President Donald Trump is causing schadenfreude in European countries. Politico writes about this on June 6.

"After US President Donald Trump's friendly relations with the richest man in the world, Elon Musk, collapsed on Thursday, European politicians allowed themselves to show an emotion they had not felt towards Washington lately: schadenfreude," the article says.

The publication cites statements by European politicians who enthusiastically embraced this conflict.

"You see, big man, politics is more complicated than you thought," Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski wrote on social media, addressing Musk.

According to Politico, former EU Commissioner for Internal Market Thierry Breton, who has repeatedly clashed with both Trump and Musk, received special pleasure from the collapse of friendly relations.

Earlier in the day, Musk supported the idea of impeaching Trump and replacing him with Vice President J.D. Vance. Trump, in turn, said that terminating contracts and canceling subsidies to Musk is the "easiest way" to save "billions and billions of dollars" in the state budget.
