The actions of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of the special military operation are a reaction to terrorist attacks from Ukraine. This was announced by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov at a briefing on June 6.

"Everything that happens as part of a special military operation, everything that is done by our military on a daily basis, is a response to the actions of the Kiev regime," he said.

According to Peskov, the Kiev regime has already acquired all the characteristics of a terrorist one.

On May 31, a bridge collapsed in the Bryansk region when cars and a Klimov—Moscow passenger train were passing over it. The next day, in the Kursk region, a bridge collapsed while a freight train was passing. The Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation classified the collapses as terrorist attacks. Seven people were killed.

On June 4, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the terrorist attack in the Bryansk region a targeted attack on civilians.
