- The first case of ehrlichiosis since the beginning of the year was registered in Krasnoyarsk

The first case of ehrlichiosis was registered in the Krasnoyarsk Territory in 2025. An infected tick bit a 58-year-old resident of Krasnoyarsk. This is reported by KrasnoyarskMedia news agency with reference to the regional Rospotrebnadzor.
Since the beginning of the season, 81 cases of tick-borne infections have been recorded. 37 people contracted viral encephalitis after being sucked by ticks. 35 — borreliosis, eight — Siberian tick-borne typhus.
The sanitary service noted a slight decrease in the number of tick victims this week. Doctors recorded 989 insect bites. There are 197 children among the injured.
Experts attribute this to the weather. In the cold and rain, ticks are less active, and people go out for walks in nature less often.
In total, 8.5 thousand people have been affected by ticks in the Krasnoyarsk Territory since the beginning of the season.
Earlier, on March 18, Lyaman Nurieva, a general practitioner at the Olympus Clinic MARS hospital, told Izvestia that ticks are most often attached to areas with thin skin, such as the popliteal cavities, groin area, the area behind the ears and scalp.
