Shor called Chisinau's plans to oust Moldovagaz a raider takeover

The authorities' plans to remove Moldovagaz from supplying Moldova's energy sector are a raider takeover. This opinion was expressed on June 6 by the leader of the opposition bloc "Victory" Ilan Shor.
"Right now, before our eyes, a company that has been regularly supplying gas at affordable prices for years is being squeezed and destroyed," Shor wrote on his Telegram channel.
According to the politician, earlier the authorities were afraid to interfere in the gas sector, but now they have begun the process of redevelopment in order to transfer key functions to Energocom.
He noted that Energocom does not have the necessary experience, funds and specialists, but it will receive a loan of 400 million euros. At the same time, Shor stressed, payments on this loan will be shifted to the state budget, that is, to citizens.
The bloc's leader also said that the new rules would allow one structure to buy gas at an inflated price, sell it to the public and businesses, and hide profits offshore.
"And the people? Let the people warm themselves with firewood if they have time to prepare it before they are taxed in the name of the European Union (EU)," he added.
Shor also accused Moldovan President Maia Sandu of "degasification" of the country and said that gas for Moldovans would soon remain only in memories.
May 30, Leader of the Liberal Democratic Party (PLDM) Vladimir Filat said that Moldovan President Maia Sandu had reduced the inhabitants to poverty and destroyed the country's economy. As the former prime minister noted, prices for gas, electricity, utilities, and food have increased in the country. In addition, the agricultural sector is also undergoing changes.
