The words of Moldovan Prime Minister Dorin Rechan about Russia's plans to deploy 10,000 soldiers in Transnistria are "electoral fantasies." This was announced on June 6 by Russian Ambassador to Chisinau Oleg Ozerov.

It is clarified that in an interview with the Financial Times, Rechan stated that Russia allegedly wants to deploy 10,000 troops in Transnistria and change the government in Moldova. He called on the European Union (EU) to provide assistance to the republic, including financial assistance.

Ozerov wondered where Rechan got this information from and urged him to show the source.

"It seems to me that these are just pre—election fantasies. It happens that way," the First in Moldova TV channel quoted the Russian diplomat as saying on Telegram.

On February 10, Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, said that the Russian side was ready for challenges in the territory of the unrecognized Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic (PMR). In addition, he stressed that Russia is ready for any development of the situation.
