"This is the fourth time we have held the IRI Award and we see how many authors are able to create an interesting, high-quality and at the same time meaningful online product. The Internet is our "second home", and it is important to fill this environment with sincere stories and real heroes — those who can be inspired. The audience itself has a huge demand for this. And we only highlight and encourage what meets the needs of society," said Alexey Goreslavsky, Director General of the IRI.
In 2025, the IRI Award ceremony was based on the theme "Born Twice". The ceremony revealed two main stages in the life of a modern person: his real birth and the "creation" of his online identity. The three parts of the ceremony are symbols of the three stages of formation, when a person learns to live in society and the state. This allowed us to return to the themes of childhood, growing up and the inextricable link with our origins in the digital age throughout the Award. The first part of the ceremony was conducted by theater and film actors Sergey Burunov and Pavel Derevyanko, accompanied by singer and TV presenter Alina Astrovskaya. In the second act, they were replaced by actor, blogger, singer Stas Yarushin and model, blogger Assol. In the final part, actor, producer Milos Bikovic and theater and film actress Elizaveta Bazykina took the stage as presenters.
Sergey Burunov was the permanent official voice of the IRI Award. Before each act of the ceremony, actor Igor Mirkurbanov recited poems that echoed the main theme of the "Born Twice" Award. The audience also heard exclusive musical compositions between the acts. The band "Bond with a button" performed for them with the song "Kitchens", the band "The Hatters" with the track "I'm taking a step", the musical duo NANSI & SIDOROV and the creator of the group "Semantic Hallucinations" Sergey Bobunets together with the symphony orchestra presented the song "Second Spring" in a new arrangement. Therr Maitz concluded the ceremony by presenting the title track from the latest film "Plagiarist" — "I'll be There".
Especially for the award ceremony, the art stylist of the IRI Award, Alena Akhmadullina, presented a unique clothing concept embodying the theme "Born twice". Her team worked deeply on the visual component: the images of the presenters, members of the award group and the organizers were created in such a way as to resonate with the general direction of the IRI Award and solve the problem of forming its holistic perception. "We are pleased to be a part of such a significant event as the IRI Award and present unique images that will emphasize its digital aesthetics. Our collaboration combines fashion and technology, reflecting the spirit of the modern Internet space. Every piece of clothing is thought out to the smallest detail to convey the energy and innovation of the project. It's not just a style, it's the visual language of the future, born on the Internet," said Alena Akhmadullina.
Awards were presented to the winners of the IRI Prize in 22 nominations, including 15 main and 7 special ones.
The award was established by the Institute for the Development of the Internet (ANO "IRI") to promote creative online content and its authors. The first award ceremony took place in the summer of 2022. The finalists of the Award are determined by the Expert Council, and the winners are selected by a professional Jury.
