A man who set fire to a house in the Novgorod region was arrested for two months


The court arrested Vasily Kozlov for two months, who started a fire that claimed the lives of three people in the Novgorod region. This was reported on June 6 by a correspondent of Izvestia.
It is specified that the incident occurred on June 4 in the Starorussky district. According to investigators, Kozlov came to his former roommate's house, where they had a conflict, then went outside and poured gasoline over the house, and then set it on fire.
Law enforcement agencies found the bodies of a 65-year-old woman and her two sons, aged 37 and 46, in the house. A criminal case was opened against the man under paragraph "a" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder").
On June 5, it was reported that a resident of the Novgorod region was detained on suspicion of setting fire to a house. It is specified that only burnt ruins on a brick foundation remained from the building.
