Camera trap captured a bear with a cub in the district of Transbaikalia

In Transbaikalia, a camera trap installed in the forest of the Krasnochikoy district captured a bear with a baby bear. The footage was taken in early May. They show a family of bears walking through the forest.

According to the ChitaMedia news agency with reference to the Telegram channel of the regional Ministry of Natural Resources, the camera trap recorded how the little bear follows its mother and studies the surrounding area.

Experts said that after leaving the den, the cubs have an instinct to follow. If mom goes far away, the little bear calls her, and she returns.

On May 22, it was reported that three bears had been spotted in Transbaikalia near the villages of the Uletovsky district over the past two days. Forest fires force predators to leave their habitual habitats and go out to populated areas.
