Law enforcement agencies in the Rostov region have suppressed the illegal activities of a Russian citizen who is involved in promoting the activities of a terrorist organization and publicly calling for extremist activities. On June 6, the press service of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) for the region informed about this.

"It has been established that a 22-year-old man, being a supporter of the ideology of Ukrainian neo—Nazism, using his personal profile in the Telegram messenger, posted materials publicly calling for the murder of Russian military personnel, as well as a number of videos promoting the activities of a terrorist organization recognized as terrorist by the decision of the 2nd Western District Military Court dated 11/16/2023," - the message says.

According to the expert's conclusion, it was concluded that the publications contained signs of justification of terrorism. As a result, in accordance with Part 2 of Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Public calls for terrorist activities, public justification of terrorism or propaganda of terrorism") A criminal case was opened.

It is indicated that the person involved was taken into custody. The investigation of the case continues.

Earlier, on June 4, the FSB of Russia stopped an attempt to commit a terrorist attack in the Chelyabinsk region. It is specified that a local resident tried to set fire to a government building.
