- The weather forecaster predicted heat and short-term rains over the weekend in Moscow

Unstable weather with rains and abnormally high temperatures is expected in the capital region this weekend. Tatiana Pozdnyakova, a leading expert of Meteonosti, told Izvestia about this on June 6.
"The weather will be really unstable, with clouds prevailing and short—term rains almost throughout the day on Saturday and Sunday," the forecaster said.
However, she noted that the rains will be accompanied by thunderstorms, and wind gusts can reach 12-15 meters per second.
Despite the rainy weather, the temperature regime will be significantly higher than the climatic norm. The nights will become noticeably warmer — the minimum temperature in Moscow will be about +17 degrees, in the region from +12 to +17 degrees. The daytime temperature in the city will reach +27...+29 degrees, +25 degrees in the region...+29 degrees.
The expert explained that such indicators are already considered hot weather for Moscow.
"When the air temperature exceeds +25 degrees, we classify it as hot weather. For the Moscow region, the criteria are stricter — the weather is considered hot there above +30 degrees, so it cannot yet be said that a real heat wave has set in the region," the specialist noted.
According to Pozdnyakova, the abnormally warm weather will continue on Monday. So, the air temperature on Saturday, Sunday and Monday will exceed the climatic norm by about 5 degrees. From Tuesday, a gradual cooling down to seasonal values will begin.
On May 20, cardiologist Andrey Kondrakhin told Izvestia about ways to reduce the negative effects of abnormal heat on the body. To prevent overheating, the doctor recommends first of all to limit physical activity and avoid direct sunlight.
