FPV drone operators destroyed an electronic warfare pickup truck and a Ukrainian armored vehicle in the DPR

Russian military personnel using FPV drones destroyed a pickup truck with an electronic warfare system and a Humvee armored vehicle of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). This was announced on June 6 by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

It is noted that military equipment was discovered near the village of Troitskoye. A drone of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) hit a pickup truck of the Ukrainian army equipped with a STR50-1 electronic warfare system with a direct hit, the ministry said.

"An FPV drone of a different design working in a pair <...> noticed an American-made HMMWV Humvee armored vehicle moving nearby. Having instantly assessed the situation and capabilities of the drone, the operator decided to destroy vehicles," the Defense Ministry added.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that operators of FPV drones of the Ussuri Separate Guards Airborne assault unit destroyed two cars, a pickup truck, a machine-gun emplacement and an observation post of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Sumy region. The ministry noted that the drone crews were able to detect an observation post and a machine-gun emplacement of Ukrainian militants with personnel who were sheltered in dugouts.
