The public conflict between American entrepreneur, former head of the Department of Government Efficiency of the United States (DOGE) Elon Musk and US leader Donald Trump should not be taken seriously. This was announced on June 6 by American political scientist Malek Dudakov.

He called the impeachment of Trump an absolutely unrealistic scenario, and added that the American president's threats to cut subsidies for Musk's companies would most likely not be followed by any action.

"You should not take literally and seriously what Trump and Musk write about each other. <...> This political battle should be perceived simply as a conflict over the adopted (budget. - Ed.) of a bill in Congress in which Musk would like to include his priority stories," he said.

Dudakov called such initiatives the possible provision of benefits for the purchase of electric vehicles. According to him, it would be beneficial for Tesla. Also, according to the political scientist, Musk wanted to promote the budget allocation for Mars exploration programs as part of the draft law, which is important for SpaceX Corporation.

"Musk is just trying to influence the position of Republicans in Washington. Now we see that the parties are already striving for reconciliation, as this conflict has also affected Trump and the Republicans. Musk found himself in a difficult state — Tesla shares actually fell by 20%," he stressed.

The conflict between Musk and Trump will not last long, the expert believes. He noted that the American entrepreneur is likely to continue trying to influence lawmakers so that his priorities are included in the US president's financial reform program.

On June 3, Musk criticized the draft budget proposed by the Trump administration, calling it a disgusting abomination. On June 4, political analyst Dudakov, in an interview with Izvestia, explained Musk's reaction by saying that the entrepreneur was in favor of stricter cuts in government spending.

On June 5, there was a public conflict between Musk and Trump on the social networks Truth Social and X (ex. Twitter). Musk publicly supported the idea of impeaching Trump and transferring his powers to US Vice President Jay Dee Vance. Trump, in turn, wrote that terminating contracts and canceling subsidies to American entrepreneur Elon Musk is the easiest way to save money in the state budget.

Later that day, it became known that Tesla's shares had fallen sharply. Bloomberg reported on June 6 that Musk lost $34 billion in one day of conflict with Trump.
