Orban called the EU's anti-Russian policy reckless

The anti—Russian policy being formed by the European Union (EU) countries is reckless, Hungary and Slovakia are forming an alliance to counter these measures. This was announced on June 6 by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.
"Fortunately, we are no longer alone. Recently, the Slovak parliament decided that they would not support any sanctions against Russia. Therefore, I see that cooperation is being formed to stop the policy of Brussels, which, in my opinion, is reckless," he said on Kossuth radio.
In addition, Orban said that Ukraine's membership in the EU can be prevented if the countries enter into a debate, and also prevent Brussels and the Ukrainian side from bringing a "puppet government" to power in Hungary.
The day before, Orban said that EU leaders are focused on fighting Russia and want to deal it a preemptive strike to continue the conflict in Ukraine. According to Orban, the EU is not following its main task, which is to strengthen the well-being of the community. Its main goal is to fight Russia in the East.
On June 4, the head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, said that the EU plans to introduce a new package of sanctions against Russia at the same time as the United States to increase pressure on Russia. It was clarified that the restrictions would affect Russian energy and financial transactions.
