In Buryatia, an ex-husband killed a Lisa Alert volunteer out of jealousy

In Buryatia, the ex-husband stabbed Maria Lubasnova, who was a volunteer of the Lisa Alert detachment with the call sign Manyunya, out of jealousy. This was announced on June 6 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the republic.

It is specified that the incident occurred on June 5. The man took the woman to the forest near the village of Klyuchi and attacked her with a knife. After the crime he committed, he committed suicide.

"Their bodies were found a few hours later during an organized search," the agency's website says.

A criminal case was opened on this fact under Part 1 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"). The circumstances of the incident are currently being established.

The head of the district, Nikolai Emonakov, also told Izvestia that the deceased Lubsanova had done a lot for the Ivolginsky district of the republic, in whose administration she worked as a press secretary.

"Maria Yurievna is a truly bright, responsive, very responsible person who supported the Ivolginsky district with all her heart," he said.

Emonakov added that the girl was carrying humanitarian aid and had just recently returned from another volunteer mission.

For several years, Maria Lubsanova actively participated in the Lisa Alert search operations as a volunteer. She helped participants in special operations and volunteered in Mariupol. For her services, the woman was awarded a medal and a personalized knife from the soldiers of the 36th army.

On May 31, a young man born in 2006 stabbed his girlfriend, born in 2007, to death near an apartment building in Moscow. The victim died from her injuries at the scene. After that, the young man committed suicide. A criminal case was opened on this fact under Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Murder"). The progress and results of the investigation are being monitored by the Prosecutor's Office.
