The assets of the bankrupt automobile company Stavropol Auto in Mikhailovsk were sold at auction for 2.2 billion rubles at a starting price of 2.5 billion rubles. A buyer for the plant was found only on the sixth attempt, Kommersant reports. In three years, the starting price of the property has more than doubled.

Krasnodar Favorit LLC and IP Arustamov Vladimir Ivanovich (from Kalmykia) fought for the purchase of the plant, the first bidder offered a large sum. He stated that he acted in the interests of Centerstroyinvest LLC. According to SPARK, the parent company of Centerstroyinvest LLC is Technodinamika holding of Rostec State Corporation, the newspaper notes.

The governor of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, said that the authorities would help ensure that modern production appeared on the site of the enterprise, from the automotive industry to high technologies. The former factory site is being considered for the creation of an industrial park, he said.

The Stavropol Auto plant, which opened in 2017 and stopped production at the end of 2018, produced 2.5 thousand Great Wall Hover H3 and H5 vehicles. About 306 thousand square meters of industrial and warehouse real estate are located on the territory of the enterprise (more than 200 hectares).

The day before, it was reported that the Moskvich plant in the capital is considering the option of launching production of cars with a hybrid power plant in 2027-2028. They will complement the company's product line, which already includes both models with internal combustion engines and purely electric ones.
