Roscosmos has announced the start of production of three upgraded Angara-A5 missiles

Russia will manufacture three Angara-A5M launch vehicles, which will have an increased payload capacity. This was announced on June 6 by the press service of Roscosmos.

"Roscosmos and the Khrunichev Center have signed a state contract for the manufacture of three Angara-A5M launch vehicles for launching modules of the new Russian orbital station," the Telegram channel says.

It is specified that the upgraded version has an increased load capacity. It will be capable of launching spacecraft up to 27 tons into low Earth orbit. The previous version could handle only up to 24 tons.

According to the press service of the state corporation, at the next stage of updates, the rocket will be adapted to launch manned transport ships.

On June 5, it was reported that Roscosmos had completed testing of the Luna-27 lander. It was clarified that the operation completed the necessary checks of the device and confirmed the operability of the landing device.
