A case has been opened into the shelling of residential buildings in Rylsk by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kursk region.

A criminal case was opened in connection with the rocket attack by Ukrainian militants on residential buildings in the city of Rylsk in the Kursk region. This was announced on June 6 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia Svetlana Petrenko.

It is specified that on June 5, 2025, the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) launched a missile attack on residential buildings, as a result of which a 32-year-old woman was killed and six more people were injured. Houses and infrastructure facilities were also damaged.

A criminal case was opened on this fact regarding a terrorist act (paragraph "b" of Part 3 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). At the scene, investigators found fragments of the Czech Vampire missile system. Examinations and work with eyewitnesses are currently underway to identify the perpetrators.

"The investigation identifies representatives of the Ukrainian armed formations involved in this crime," Petrenko said.

On June 5, a woman was killed and six more people were injured as a result of the Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on Rylsk, Kursk region. It is specified that the militants attacked an apartment building and private houses. According to the acting governor of the region, Khinstein, several more residential buildings were damaged due to the shock wave, as well as the windows of an idle bakery were blown out.

Later, on June 6, Khinstein reported that one of the victims of the Ukrainian Armed Forces attack on Rylsk, a woman, died in hospital. He noted that the doctors had done everything possible to save her life.
