On June 6, the court rejected the defense's request to conduct a financial examination of the charges in the case of the head of the Gagauz Autonomy, Yevgenia Hutsul. It is clarified that she is accused of involvement in financial irregularities in the financing of the Shor party.

"Lawyer Sergei Moraru's request to verify the constitutionality of Article 181, Part 2, paragraph 5 of the Criminal Code is rejected as unfounded," TASS quoted the judge as saying.

In turn, Hutsul noted that she had expected such a decision, since such a relationship has been observed constantly throughout the year. According to her, the court has a biased attitude towards the defendants and defenders.
