The media reported on the beginning of the collection of signatures in the EP for the resumption of the EC dialogue with Russia

Member of the European Parliament (EP) Fernand Kartheiser initiated the collection of signatures in support of the restoration of dialogue between the European Commission and Russia. This was reported by the Politico newspaper on June 6.

"Kartheiser wants to enlist the support of other deputies on the urgent issue of whether the Commission plans to resume dialogue with the Russian Federation," the publication says.

According to the newspaper, the deputy has already collected eight signatures in support of his initiative.

On June 3, Kartheiser called on the European Union to start a dialogue with Russia. According to him, this conversation is possible, and can also be carried out in an open and rational manner.

In addition, the EP deputy added that now it is necessary to abandon sanctions against Russia in favor of finding solutions through negotiations and compromise.
