Mass cases of theft of pointers with unusual names have been recorded in Russia.

Signs with unusual village names are being stolen en masse in Russia. Kirill Solodkov, a correspondent for Izvestia, told about this on June 6.
The village of Lokh regularly becomes a victim of vandalism. The previous road sign hung here for only a month and a half. Despite the fact that each stolen sign adds recognition to the village, the actions of the violators affect the budget of the village administration.
"The new Rosdor plate costs 2.5 thousand, it is absolutely correct, according to GOST. But it's kind of expensive to put up a few signs every month. Therefore, we went by making our own," explained another local resident, Sergey Kislin.
When the signs began to disappear all the time, Kislin decided to draw signs on his own for installation on the road and for sale. However, this has not reduced the number of such incidents.
"The record of the stolen plaque was hung up in the afternoon, the next day it was already removed. One day. The maximum, in my opinion, was 140 days," he added.
In the Perm Region, the village of Dude is also worried about the safety of its road signs, so local residents are planning to organize a national guard.
However, all road signs in Russia are state property, so law enforcement officers can classify interest in road signs as petty hooliganism, theft, or even vandalism.
Earlier, on April 10, the Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation announced that it would consider proposals for the introduction of a new road sign "Beginning of a new lane" indicating the further direction of travel. It was specified that with its application, signs 5.15.1...5.15.8 can be combined into one. At the same time, the timing of the appearance of such signs in traffic regulations and on roads was not reported.
