A court in Moscow ordered Pobeda Airlines to increase the size of hand luggage

The Shcherbinsky Court of Moscow ordered Pobeda Airlines to increase the dimensions of hand luggage, which were unacceptably reduced. This was confirmed on June 6 by an order on the website of the courts of general jurisdiction of the capital.
At the same time, the plaintiff in the case clarified that the established standards of Pobeda are aimed at circumventing the provisions of current legislation and infringe on the rights of citizens.
"To establish a free carry—on baggage allowance in the form of one seat with dimensions of at least 36 x 30 x 27 cm and a weight of at least 5 kg," the document says.
The company is also required to set a standard for goods from duty-free stores packaged and sealed in a sealed plastic bag with dimensions of at least 24 x 32 cm.
It is noted that the decision will come into force on July 3 of this year.
On May 30, the court declared illegal the action of Pobeda Airlines, which reduced the permissible size of hand luggage. It was noted that the company had abused the legislative right to determine the size of hand luggage. They were significantly reduced to a width of 4 cm.
