The White House reported on the continued interest in economic relations with China.


The United States is interested in maintaining economic relations with China, White House spokeswoman Caroline Leavitt said on Friday, June 5, commenting on a telephone conversation between American President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping.
"China needs the United States and our markets, and we also pursue a strategic interest in China's economy and market," she said on Fox News.
Leavitt also called the phone conversation between the two leaders productive and stressed that Trump has always been pleased with the respectful relationship with Xi Jinping.
The conversation between the two leaders took place on June 5. During the conversation, Xi Jinping called on the United States to lift negative measures against China. On the same day, Trump announced the settlement of disputes with China in the field of trade, including the supply of rare earths by Beijing.
