The Hydrometeorological Center made a forecast of fire danger in the regions

An extreme and high class of fire danger is predicted in the coming days in several federal districts, Roman Vilfand, scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center, told Izvestia.
Currently, the fifth or emergency fire hazard class has been established in certain regions of the Northwestern, Central, Volga, and Southern Federal Districts.
"In the North Caucasus, the extreme fire danger class is only in Dagestan, because there has been a lot of rain in the North Caucasus Federal District. And in Siberia, due to prolonged hot weather, the fifth class of fire danger is recorded and predicted in the Altai Territory and the Tomsk Region," said Roman Vilfand.
In the Far East, extreme fire danger has been recorded in the Trans-Baikal Territory, in the east of the Khabarovsk Territory and in Kamchatka. Rains should smooth out the situation in the north-west of the country by the end of the week, the meteorologist said.
In Central Russia, despite the high temperature, precipitation will also reduce the fire hazard class from extreme to high.
"The fifth class of fire danger will remain in Dagestan. And also in the Southern Federal District, where temperatures above 30 degrees are expected throughout the week," said the meteorologist.
The rains will be local in Transbaikalia. In addition, the wind will increase to gusts of 15-20 m/s in the next three days. This is dangerous because it will inflate the existing fires, Roman Vilfand noted.
