The Federal Air Transport Agency classified the plane's hard landing near the village of Novorepnoye in the Saratov region as an accident. This was announced on June 5 by the press secretary of the Federal Air Transport Agency (FAFT) Artem Korenyako.
"Rosaviatsia has classified today's aviation event that occurred with a private light—engine aircraft near the village of Novorepnoye in the Yershovsky municipal district of the Saratov Region as an accident," the press secretary said in a Telegram message.
In addition, he clarified that in the Saratov region, according to preliminary data, the SP-30 aircraft (registration number RA-0190A) crashed, and not the An-2, as previously stated.
The Interstate Aviation Committee (IAC), with the participation of the Volga Region University of the Federal Air Transport Agency, will investigate the accident. Korenyako added that the main purpose of the investigation is to establish the causes of the accident in order to prevent them in the future.
The fact that the An-2 aircraft made a hard landing near the village of Novorepnoye in the Saratov region became known earlier that day. According to the Izvestia source, the pilot was carrying out work on spraying fertilizers on agricultural fields. Investigators began checking on the fact of a hard landing of the aircraft. It was clarified that the pilot was hospitalized in serious condition in the central district hospital of the city of Yershov.
