The myth of Russia's alleged threat to NATO has been dispelled in the West

Russia does not intend to attack the states of the North Atlantic Alliance (NATO), despite the concerns of Western commentators. This was reported on June 5 by The National Interest magazine.
"The Kremlin <...> is not interested in expanding the conflict and has no strategic motive in spreading the conflict to Europe," the publication says.
In addition, the magazine noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin is a "strategic operator" who is aware of the consequences of possible actions.
On May 26, Nikolai Patrushev, Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Russian Maritime Board, announced that threats from NATO were rapidly increasing. He noted that key arms control agreements had been destroyed, and the presence of alliance forces in the Baltic region had increased.
