Trump's ex-aide urged the United States to withdraw from the conflict in Ukraine

The United States must get out of the conflict in Ukraine as soon as possible. This was announced on June 5 by Alexander Gray, former chief of Staff of the National Security Council (NSC) of the White House.
"We should keep in mind that the United States cannot support Ukraine indefinitely or be a party to this conflict. We have much bigger challenges. So we need to get out of this as soon as possible, not later," Gray said on Fox News.
The Trump administration, according to the ex-official, will have to make "difficult exchanges" in resolving the Ukrainian conflict.
"I think, ultimately, the United States cannot afford to continue supporting the Ukrainian [conflict] indefinitely. It's just not feasible," Gray said.
Earlier in the day, US President Donald Trump announced his readiness to tighten anti-Russian sanctions if an agreement on resolving the situation in Ukraine is not reached before the deadline set by him. According to him, he has set an internal deadline for himself — the moment when it becomes obvious that it is no longer possible to stop the conflict.
