Almost 100 sports complexes with swimming pools have been built in Moscow since 2011

Since 2011, 96 sports complexes with swimming pools have been built in Moscow. This was announced on Thursday, June 5, by Vladimir Yefimov, Deputy Mayor of the capital for Urban Planning and Construction.

According to him, most of the complexes with swimming pools appeared in the center and in the northeast of the capital - 13 in each administrative district. In 2024 alone, 10 such facilities were built in the city, and 15 more will be built in the next three years, the Moscow City News agency reports.

Most of these sports complexes are being built near residential areas, which makes swimming a more accessible sport and leisure activity, the website clarifies. kp.ru .

According to Anton Slobodchikov, Chairman of Mosgosstroynadzor, a total of four FOCa have been commissioned in Moscow since the beginning of this year, Moscow 24 notes.

At the end of May, it was reported that two sports complexes would be built in the south-east and east of Moscow. According to him, one sports complex will be built at the intersection of Privolnaya and Aviakonstruktora Mil streets, the second — in the Vostochny district on 9 May Street.
