A tree fell on a stroller with a child in Samara

In Samara, a tree fell on a baby carriage, and the child in it was injured. This was announced on Thursday, June 5, by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the region.

"On June 5, 2025, in Samara, a tree fell on a stroller with a child in it. The child is currently hospitalized," the department's Telegram channel said.

On behalf of Alexander Voevodin, acting head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the region, a criminal case has been opened under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code ("Negligence").

At the moment, the causes and circumstances of the incident are being established, as well as the conditions that contributed to the commission of the crime.

On the same day, it was reported that a newborn girl was abandoned on the street in the Leningrad region. It was clarified that the child had been hospitalized, and the police were taking measures to find and identify the mother. An investigation is underway into the incident.
