Another 14 children traveling on vacation on the Yekaterinburg — Anapa train were hospitalized with norovirus, the press service of the Ministry of Health of the Sverdlovsk region reported on June 5. At the same time, children who were hospitalized earlier in the Voronezh region are already being prepared for discharge.

It is noted that upon arrival of the train in Anapa on Thursday evening, all the children were sent to the city children's hospital to be examined by infectious diseases doctors.

"According to the results of the examination, 14 children who were diagnosed with norovirus of the second genotype during rapid testing were left under observation in a hospital," the Telegram channel of the regional department said.

All other children have been sent to the isolation ward of the Pearl of Russia camp, where they will be under medical supervision. At the same time, there is already a positive trend in the condition of some children in the Liskin Hospital in the Voronezh region. They are preparing to be discharged and will be taken to the camp.

"All the children from the carriage where the outbreak of infection was recorded are in satisfactory condition," the press service added.

The hospitalization of eight children from the train became known earlier that day. According to preliminary data, the cause of the juvenile's illness was a norovirus infection. Minor passengers were removed from the train due to an unknown food infection at Liski station.

The Western Interregional Investigative Department for Transport of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation has opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Provision of services that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers").
