The General Staff of Mali accused the GUR of Ukraine of supplying weapons to terrorists

After publications about Ukraine's assistance to terrorists, the General Staff of the Malian Armed Forces stated that external forces were providing support to terrorist groups. The corresponding statement was published on June 5 on the social network X (ex. Twitter) of the country's general staff.

Prior to this, the Bamada portal reported that the Main Directorate of Intelligence (GUR) of Ukraine may be involved in the training and support of terrorists in Mali. According to the newspaper, Kiev supplied the militants with FPV drones through Mauritania. It was also reported that Ukrainian instructors are preparing terrorists for combat operations.

As noted by "Gazeta.The military of Mali noted an increase in the number of attacks on civilian targets and military bases in recent weeks, carried out, according to the General Staff, by a coalition of terrorist organizations that receives support from abroad.

On April 7, Mali's Foreign Minister Abdoulaye Diop said that Ukraine poses a threat to Africa's security and supports terrorist groups in the Sahel. According to him, Kiev's support led to the deaths of many Malian soldiers.
