Scaffolding collapsed on one of the houses in St. Petersburg
In St. Petersburg, scaffolding collapsed on Zagorodny Prospekt — the structure collapsed directly onto the sidewalk, narrowly missing passersby. This was reported on June 5 in the press service of the local prosecutor's office.
"The Prosecutor's Office of the Central District of St. Petersburg is establishing all the causes and circumstances that led to the partial fall of scaffolding on one of the houses on Zagorodny Prospekt," the department wrote on its Telegram channel.
It is specified that the elements of the scaffolding fell from the facade of one of the buildings. At that time, people were walking along the street, according to preliminary data, no one was injured.
The agency will also check whether the contractor has complied with labor protection standards and safety requirements during repairs. The issue of taking prosecutorial response measures will be resolved after the completion of all verification measures, the report concluded.
On June 2, Vyacheslav Kwon, the head of the Artyomovsky city district, reported that a sports hall collapsed in the city of Artyom during the overhaul of school No. 17. It is specified that in order to prevent further destruction, the contractor plans to backfill with rocky soil.
