The agronomist gave tips on how to control aphids in the garden

Mikhail Vorobyov, an agronomist and biologist, told how to deal with aphids in the garden.
In an interview with Radio 1 on Thursday, June 5, he noted that insects actively multiply in wet weather.
"Aphids are rampant, attacking plums, gooseberries, raspberries, currants," he said.
According to him, a soap solution will help to destroy it. To do this, he advised diluting 4-5 tablespoons of liquid soap per liter of water and spraying the plants. The aphid will be covered with a soap film and suffocate. After a few days, it will be possible to wash off the soap solution from a hose or watering can.
In case of severe damage to plants, Vorobyov called for resorting to biologics based on beneficial fungi and bacteria. They pose no danger to humans. For ornamental plants, any chemical insecticides will help.
On June 4, gardener Nadezhda Kashnova advised to fight aphids with liquid soap. A tablespoon of this soap should be dissolved in a liter of water. Both household and special gardening equipment are suitable, the website notes. kp.ru .
On May 19, expert Andrey Tumanov said that aphids are afraid of almost any insecticides and even water. It is important to carry out several plant treatments. It is also necessary to protect the garden from black ants, which protect aphids for food, but it is difficult to get rid of them, writes RT.
To protect against aphids, he advised that any permitted insecticide and folk remedies, such as soap solution, can be used against aphids, but the latter, according to Tumanov, can be used as a preventive measure, since they most often do not help.
Also in May, agronomist Oleg Drozhzhin recommended a decoction of ferns to control aphids and slugs. It is best to apply it in the morning, while the sun's rays are still not so hot. 360.ru .
