Putin supports the idea of promoting the Russian language by the Rossiya National Centers

Russian President Vladimir Putin supported the idea of creating spaces in the branches of the National Center "Russia" to promote the Russian language. On June 5, Elena Yampolskayana, Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation, head of the center, made such an initiative during a meeting of the council for the implementation of state policy in the field of support for the Russian language and the languages of the peoples of Russia.

"Such a site is in demand, for example, in Vladivostok, where the first branch of the center is scheduled to open this fall," Yampolskaya said.

It is specified that various events aimed at popularizing the Russian language among children and youth will be held at such sites. Putin said he supports such an idea and promised to do everything possible to implement it.

Earlier that day, Putin supported the proposal to create a center for the promotion of the Russian language in the world on the basis of one of the universities.
