Artificial intelligence (AI) is actively developing professions that require analytical thinking, but it is not yet able to completely replace humans. The professions that the neural network will not be able to replace in the coming years were named on June 5 by Olesya Bormotova, HR director of the Newstaff multiservice company, in an interview with Izvestia.

"AI already covers professions where it is required to "think" — accountants, financial analysts, copywriters and even partly designers. I have an example: I was looking for a personal assistant for a lawyer at a cadastral agency. And while the selection was underway, the customer realized that an AI would be quite suitable for him as an assistant instead of a real employee," the expert noted.

However, Bormotova believes that AI will not be able to completely replace "thinking" professions. He knows how to process information and offer solutions, but he is not able to be creative, grasp subtleties and does not have emotional intelligence.

In addition, according to Bormotova, in the coming years, specialists whose skills are difficult to digitize will remain indispensable: builders, plumbers, electricians and doctors.

"For example, a construction robot can lay bricks, but only a human is still able to make a decision in a difficult situation or control the result. In medical professions, AI can analyze images and help with diagnostics, but the final decision is made by the doctor, based on his own experience," the specialist explained.

She added: everything related to decision—making in crisis and emergency situations remains the prerogative of a person.

"Of course, AI is already automating some of the physical labor: cleaning robots, automated warehouse systems, and robotic movers. These technologies are actively developing. However, it is important to remember that where a subtle approach, experience and non—standard solutions are needed, AI remains only an assistant," the HR specialist emphasized.

The HR director advised to prepare for changes in the labor market. It is important to master AI tools, develop critical thinking, emotional intelligence and creativity.

Earlier, on June 1, it was reported that up to 20% of employees may lose their jobs due to the growth of artificial intelligence capabilities. It could also lead to the destruction of 50% of entry-level white-collar jobs.
