As noted by the head of the regional security department of the regional government, Yuri Yurin, the pilot was hospitalized in serious condition in the central district hospital of the city of Yershov.

"According to preliminary information, the pilot of a small aircraft touched a power line, fell into a field and caught fire. <...> Emergency services are on site," he wrote on Telegram.
