Sobyanin listened to the Muscovites and answered their questions.
Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin held a traditional reception for Moscow residents, which is being held on behalf of the president. Sobyanin told about the questions that Muscovites asked the mayor in his Telegram channel.
Natalia Blinova, a Muscovite, asked to speed up the major reconstruction of the Rostokinsky Aqueduct, a cultural heritage site of federal significance built at the end of the 18th century. "I gave instructions to finish all the work on time. I hope that the restoration of the Rostock Aqueduct will be completed this year," Sobyanin said. According to the mayor of the capital, the restorers are currently finishing the cleaning of the white stone, carrying out additional assembly and starting the final laying. Work has been carried out on the pedestrian gallery to replace wooden structures. Gazebos and stairs are being restored.
Vyacheslav Aksenov, a physical education and sports teacher, asked for a modern martial arts sports complex to be built in Chertanov-Yuzhny. The athletes are currently studying at the Varshavsky Club on Varshavskoye Highway. 95 athletes train in the basement of the 1959 building, 27 of them are members of the Moscow national team, and three are members of the Russian national team. The sports club is very overloaded, because of this, training takes place in uncomfortable and unsafe conditions. To support the athletes, the mayor ordered to work out the issue of erecting a non-capital facility on the territory of the Chertanovsky sports complex with a martial arts hall, gym, locker rooms and showers. The completion date is the fourth quarter of 2026.
