A criminal case is being reopened into an accident in which a Rolls-Royce driver ran over a motorcyclist in St. Petersburg. On June 5, the Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) for the city was informed about this.
"Upon the fact of the accident, the investigative department for the Krasnoselsky district of the GSU of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the city of St. Petersburg has re-opened a criminal case," the department's Telegram channel says.
At the moment, investigative measures are being carried out to establish the circumstances of the incident.
On the same day, it was reported that the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed to reopen a criminal case into an accident involving a Rolls-Royce and a motorcyclist in St. Petersburg. On June 4, the man was charged in accordance with Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of traffic rules and operation of vehicles") and Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Intentional infliction of serious harm to health").
The accident occurred on June 1 at the intersection of Peterhof Highway and Admiral Tributs Street in St. Petersburg. The next day, on June 2, the victim told Izvestia that he was preparing for surgery.
