Konstantin Shelestun, an actor from the TV series "Bandit Petersburg", has died.


Russian actor Konstantin Shelestun has died at the age of 50. This was announced on June 5 by the press service of the Small Drama Theater of St. Petersburg.
"We regret to inform you that on June 4, 2025, Konstantin Shelestun, the leading actor of the Small Drama Theater, died suddenly," the theater's website says.
After graduating from the St. Petersburg State Academy of Theater Arts (course of Y.M. Krasovsky), Shelestun was invited by Lev Ehrenburg to join the NDT troupe. Bubnov's debut role was in the production of "At the Bottom", and then the title role in the play "Ivanov". He also played Vershinin in "Three Sisters," Fyodor Pavlovich Karamazov in "The Brothers Karamazov," Porfiry Golovlev in "Gentlemen of the Damned." One of his last works was the vivid role of Dr. Diafuarus in The Imaginary Patient.
"Konstantin Shelestun was known to a wide audience for his numerous roles in movies and TV movies, where he often played supporting characters, but he did them in such detail and expressively that they were remembered no less than the main ones. Kostya always preferred theater to work in films and remained faithful to the NDT all his life," the theater's press service said.
Among his most notable screen works are roles in such projects as "Killer Force", "Secrets of the Investigation", "Streets of Broken Lanterns", "Bandit Petersburg", "Foundry", "Sea Devils" and others. In addition to acting, Konstantin Shelestun taught for many years in Lev Ehrenburg's workshop at the Russian State Institute of Fine Arts, producing several generations of artists with whom he appeared on the same stage.
The place and time of the farewell will be announced additionally, the theater's press service concluded.
