Kalashnikov Concern announces modernization of PPK-20 submachine gun

The Kalashnikov Design and Technology Center (KTC) has updated the PPK-20 Kalashnikov submachine gun, improving and improving it. This was announced on June 5 by the press service of the concern.

"Specialists of the Kalashnikov Concern Design and Technology Center (KTC) have improved the design of the bolt and the return mechanism of the 9-mm Kalashnikov PPK-20 submachine gun," the report says.

The main purpose of the changes was to improve the tactical, technical and ergonomic characteristics of the submachine gun, as well as to increase its manufacturability. In particular, the changes expanded the range of ammunition intended for the PPK-20.

"Foreign partners are also interested in acquiring these weapons, since the submachine gun meets all modern requirements for weapons of this class," the press service added.

On May 15, the Kalashnikov Concern introduced for the first time a whole line of small arms with a 5.45 cartridge. The RPL-20 machine guns were presented in two main versions: in full—size — for arming infantry units and in compact - with a shortened barrel for assault and amphibious units.
