Experts named the best Russian cities for family holidays in 2025
Stavropol Territory has become the most profitable region for traveling with children this year, where the average cost of a night in a hotel is 9150 rubles. The Republic of Tatarstan took the second place with a price of 9170 rubles per night, and the Leningrad Region took the third place, where accommodation costs an average of 9355 rubles. Yandex Travel analysts told Izvestia about this on June 6.
Among the cities, Moscow offers the most affordable options (7330 rubles per night_, followed by Kaliningrad (8635 rubles) and St. Petersburg (8950 rubles).
The longest family trips are traditionally made to the resort regions of Crimea (Yalta), Krasnodar Krai (Sochi, Gelendzhik), Dagestan (Derbent) and Stavropol Krai (Kislovodsk). In these destinations, the average duration of holidays with children is 6-8 days.
Experts note that in 2025, the booking horizon for summer trips with children and regular travel has almost equaled, amounting to 3-4 months (103-137 days). At the same time, popular destinations are showing steady demand, while fast-growing regions are forming new dynamics.
The top three in terms of growing interest among family tourists were the Altai Territory (+175% and rising seven positions), Karachay-Cherkessia (+161% and plus two positions) and the Volgograd Region (+142% and plus four positions). These regions offer a variety of recreation options, from mountain resorts to historical sites, which makes them attractive for travelers with children of all ages.
Analysts predict that current trends will continue until the end of the summer season, and the popularity of alternative resorts will only grow due to infrastructure development and affordable prices.
Earlier, on April 18, the Association of Travel Aggregators (ATAG) and booking services reported on the growing demand for travel with children. According to Tutu, such bookings have more than doubled for the May holidays and 2.6 times for the summer.
