Flood in Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug neared its peak

The rise of water in the rivers of most municipalities of Yugra has stopped. The hydrological situation in the region is developing in accordance with the forecast, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug reported on Thursday, June 5.

Over the past 24 hours, water has remained at the same level in the Nizhnevartovsk, Megion and Langepas areas. At the same time, the Ob River rose by 1 cm in Belogorye and Lempino.

In some reservoirs, the water level has begun to decrease. So, in Salym, the river level decreased by 5 cm, and in Saranpaul and Hurumpaul — by 11 cm.

According to the <url> news agency, a total of 277 garden plots were flooded in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug. Overflows on the roads are recorded in some areas.

Earlier it was reported that Nizhnevartovsk has increased the number of buses on routes 91, 92 and 93 since the beginning of the calendar holiday season. Compared to the winter timetable, traffic congestion has more than doubled.
