The production of anti-lock (ABS) and anti-skid (ESP) systems for cars in Samara at the site of FSUE NAMI is planned to be launched by the end of 2025. This was stated by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Shpak, RIA Novosti reported on May 5.

Currently, the task of localization is facing automakers in the field of microelectronics, and work in this direction is being carried out systematically, the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade added.

The Bosch company, which FSUE NAMI acquired in 2023, was named NAMI Innovative Components. Last fall, it was reported that the installation of equipment for the organization of production and work on configuring the ABS and ESC software at the NAMI Test Center. The head of AVTOVAZ Maxim Sokolov noted that the company would consider the possibility of purchasing ABS from the ex-Robert Bosch Samara plant.

Itelma Company localized the production of anti-lock braking systems and stabilization systems for passenger cars in Kostroma in July 2023.
