In different districts of the Leningrad region, two teenagers ended up in intensive care after being bitten by venomous snakes. This was reported by a source of Izvestia.

The first case occurred on June 4 in Gatchina district. A snake clung to the finger of a 17-year-old schoolboy while he was walking in the Elizabethan Quarry. The boy was hospitalized in a moderate condition.

The second incident occurred in Vsevolozhsk district on the same day. A snake bit a 16-year-old student in both hands. At the time of the predator's attack, the teenager was intoxicated. After the incident, he was taken to the hospital.

Earlier, on May 13, herpetologist Vladimir Cherlin told Izvestia how to act when encountering a snake. According to him, it is not necessary to react to it. Also, a person should not try to touch a reptile, even if it is not poisonous.
