Foreign aircraft manufacturers are unlikely to be able to return to the Russian market. Rostec State Corporation announced this on June 5.

Currently, foreign aircraft such as Boeing and Airbus are not supplied to the Russian market. Instead, the focus is on the development of the domestic aviation industry, including new models such as the MC-21 and Superjet-100, which are expected to be delivered next year, Rostec stressed.

The state corporation recalled the task set by Russian President Vladimir Putin to ensure that by 2030 the share of domestic aircraft in airline fleets is at least 50%. This implies the gradual retirement of foreign airliners and their replacement by Russian ones.

"The scenario in which foreign aircraft manufacturers regain access to our market looks fantastic and not too patriotic. Life has already proved that this path is very unreliable," the Rostec Telegram channel says.

The state corporation also stressed that the ideal goal for the domestic aviation industry is to achieve 100% of Russian aircraft in airline fleets.

On March 26, Yakovlev Aircraft Manufacturing Company (part of Rostec United Aircraft Corporation) received approval from the Federal Air Transport Agency for the serial production of MC-21 aircraft. During the inspection, the compliance of the aircraft with the quality and safety requirements was confirmed.

On April 29, Rostec announced that the MC-21 aircraft, equipped with Russian systems and assemblies, had successfully completed its maiden flight. Domestic avionics, power supply and air conditioning systems were tested on board. There were no comments on the operation of the equipment. The flight lasted 1 hour and 15 minutes, the aircraft reached a speed of 580 km / h and an altitude of 3 thousand meters.
