Roscosmos has completed testing of the Luna-27 lander

Specialists of the S. A. Lavochkin Scientific and Production Association (NPO) (part of the Roscosmos State Corporation) The tests of the Luna-27 lander were completed in conditions close to real conditions. This was announced on June 5 in the press service of the corporation.

"This is one of the important stages of preparation for the upcoming lunar expedition — specialists have worked out soft landing modes in conditions as close as possible to real ones," the Telegram channel says.

It is noted that these tests completed the necessary checks of the device, and also confirmed the operability of the landing device. At the same time, Luna-27 was tested with simulation of lunar gravity and contact with analog soil.

Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, scientific director of the Space Research Institute Lev Zeleny, in an interview with Izvestia on April 30, said that Russian spacecraft could be the first to reach the North Pole of the Moon. He noted that six devices will be launched in the coming years. Including for remote sensing — "Luna-26", "Luna-29", and for contact research — landing modules "Luna-27" No. 1 and No. 2, "Luna-28", "Luna-30".
