A Russian paratrooper spoke about the capabilities of the new "Splinter" FPV drone
The new "Splinter" FPV drone is capable of striking the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the right bank of the Dnieper River. This was announced on June 5 by the paratroopers of the Dnepr group of forces.
According to a paratrooper officer with the call sign Min, this UAV has a payload capacity of 20 kg and is equipped with two batteries that surpass their Western counterparts. The special feature of the new drone is its design, which allows operators to quickly assemble and disassemble the device.
"He's mobile. Before your eyes, look, it is completely gathering, and so absolutely all four rays. And it's quietly transportable," the paratrooper told RIA Novosti.
In addition, the Splinter is equipped with drop systems for various needs, both for combat missions, for example, for dropping mines and bombs, and for the delivery of materials and equipment.
It is noted that the range of the drone is about 12 km in both directions. The copter is already actively used in the combat operations of the Dnepr group on the islands and the right bank of the Dnieper.
On May 30, Intel Drone development company (a resident of the Autonomous Non-Profit Organization Center for Unmanned Systems and Technologies) announced that Russia had created an artificial intelligence (AI)-equipped automatic guidance system for UAVs. She independently recognizes the enemy's equipment and manpower and calculates the ideal point of defeat.
