The new Geely Galaxy Starship 7 crossover will start selling in Russia
The Geely Galaxy Starship 7 hybrid crossover is planned to be launched in Russia. This model shares a platform with the Geely EX5 electric car, which began selling in the country this spring, the Chinese Cars portal reported on June 5.
According to him, Geely Motors is in the process of obtaining Vehicle Type Approval for the Galaxy Starship 7, the model is undergoing certification. It is assumed that the crossover will be sold in the Russian market under the name EX5 EM-i or EX5 PHEV.
The length of the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 is 4740 mm with a wheelbase of 2755 mm. The car is 70 mm longer than the gasoline-powered Geely Atlas presented in Russia. At the same time, the axial distance of the Starship 7 is 22 mm less. The interior architecture resembles the electric EX5.
The hybrid crossover is powered by a power plant with a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated internal combustion engine with a capacity of 112 hp and a 218-horsepower electric motor.. Acceleration from a standstill to 100 km/h takes 7.5 seconds, and gasoline consumption is 2.1 liters per 100 km. Depending on the modification, the car can travel from 55 to 120 km on pure electricity. In hybrid mode, the power reserve reaches 1,420 km.
The day before, it was reported that the recommended retail price of the Knewstar 002 crossover, the brand's second model in Russia, could be 3-3.2 million rubles. It turned out that the Knewstar 002 may be cheaper than the second-generation Geely Atlas, on the basis of which the model is made.
