Sobyanin announced the growth of robot production in Moscow

The development of automated systems in Moscow demonstrates rapid and steady growth, said the mayor of the capital, Sergei Sobyanin. In the first quarter of 2025, the volume of production of machinery and equipment, including robots, increased by 14.3% compared to the same period last year.
"Moscow developers of robotic systems are exploring more and more fields and directions. And with the support of the city, they are expanding the model range and increasing production," Sobyanin wrote on his blog.
New developments are successfully integrated into production processes, increasing their efficiency and safety, the mayor noted. Moscow companies create warehouse, agricultural, industrial robots, as well as sapper robots and other types of specialized equipment.
For example, TECHNORAD develops and manufactures ready-made robotic systems, including automated welding complexes and palletizers, which are in demand at more than 550 Russian enterprises. For warehouse logistics, robots are produced by Ronavi Robotics of the Rusnano Group. Some are designed for picking and moving goods, while others are designed for sorting parcels.
The drone-based inventory system from UVL Robotics makes it possible to recalculate inventory balances ten times faster than traditional methods. Sapper complexes for mine clearance and mobile fire extinguishing installations are being created by the "Special Design and Technological Bureau of Applied Robotics".
Earlier, Sobyanin said that the Cloud Cities forum, which will be held in the capital on September 17-18, will be dedicated to robotic technologies and artificial intelligence. He noted that the development of robotics, automation and AI "are becoming the main drivers of the transformation of production, labor and social relations systems."
